Recreation Therapist Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary: The Activity Therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, treatment planning, group treatment, and individualized treatment. Additionally, the Activity Therapist is responsible for functioning well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participating in the unit community relations program.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• CTRS, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required
• Three years’ inpatient hospital setting or skilled setting experience required
• BCLS required

• Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house.
