Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is inviting applications for casual positions of Recreation Program Instructor in the Recreation Programming division of Parks & Recreation.

The Program Instructor could lead a variety of programs (eg: soccer, basketball, roller skating, gymnastics, painting, drawing, yoga, fitness, etc.). The instructor must plan and teach recreational programs to participants of all ages. (Aquatic and Skating jobs are a separate posting).

Please Note: An Eligibility List may be established from this competition. Vacancies that are not filled internally will be filled from this Eligibility List. The list would/will be effective for 6 months and could be extended, as required.
Please note - Testing may be conducted as a component of the selection process to assess technical and job specific knowledge. Candidates, who are selected for testing, may be tested in a group setting, scheduled at the employer's discretion.

WORK LOCATION: Various Community Recreation Centre locations throughout HRM. Bedford/Hammonds Plains Community Centre, Captain William Spry Community Centre, Chocolate Lake Community Centre, Citadel Community Centre, Cole Harbour Recreation Centre, Dartmouth North Community Centre, Findlay Community Centre, George Dixon Community Centre, Gordon R. Snow Community Centre, Horizon Community Center, Lakeside Community Centre, LeBrun Recreation Centre, Musquodoboit Harbour Community Centre, Musquodoboit Valley, Needham Community Centre, North Preston Community Centre, Sackville Community Centre, Sackville Sports Stadium, Sheet Harbour, St. Andrew's Community Centre.
