RECREATION ASSISTANT - CONCESSIONS

The Orem Recreation Department is currently hiring for Recreation Assistants to work concessions for sports programs. This is a non-benefited position working under the direction of a Recreation Program Coordinator. Assists with minor preparation and sales of concessions items. Stocks supplies. Cleans facility. Performs duties that may include lifting, bending, stooping, walking and sitting. Operates a cash register and computer. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires ability to work with people and resolve problems and conflicts that may be confrontational or stressful. Ability to move and interact with others in various activities that may include bending, stooping, walking, and lifting. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Provide information to others by phone, computer, or in person as needed. Requires a knowledge of or experience with cash handling procedures, operating a cash register, and computer. Current food handlers permit is required. The successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation. $10.00 - $13.00 per hour depending upon qualifications.
