King David Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Recreational Aide to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY!

The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY, specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. As a Recreational Aide at The Allure Group, you would be part of a winning team doing meaningful work to improve residents' quality of life, health, and comfort.
Recreation Aide Responsibilities
Assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities and programs for residents.
Encourage resident participation in social, physical, mental, educational, and creative activities.
Observe and report residents’ participation, mood, behavior, and progress.
Assist with resident assessments, recreation care plans, and progress documentation.
Involve residents and families in planning activities and individual recreation goals when appropriate.
Set up and supervise activities, including games, crafts, movies, parties, hobbies, and special events.
Provide one-on-one visits and activities for residents, including those who are bedbound or unable to attend group activities.
Assist residents with crafts, projects, reading, letter writing, errands, and other recreational needs.
Coordinate activities and services with other departments, families, and community resources as needed.
Assist with transportation, appointments, and other resident needs as directed.
Maintain accurate activity records, reports, and required documentation.
Help maintain recreation supplies, equipment, decorations, and activity areas.
Support quality improvement efforts, facility inspections, and department initiatives.
Follow resident care plans, facility policies, and direction from the Director of Recreation or Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned
Recreational Aide Requirements
High school diploma or its equivalent
Previous experience with the senior population
COVID-19 Vaccination
Preferred
Music skills
Bilingual
