Job Summary

The Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is in an exciting development stage. Our Peer Educators will help create a student-led peer support community and resource center for students in all walks of addiction recovery. The Peer Educator model is based on health education and peer engagement for holistic well-being and campus-wide awareness of important health topics. Peer Educators for the CRP use their personal and lived experience to facilitate recovery-focused programming on campus and provide compassionate support to students who enter our space and participate in our services.

The Peer Educator for the Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) will play an integral role in supporting and advancing this offering at the university. This role engages students who are struggling with addiction, exploring moderation of their substance use, or actively working on a recovery program. The CRP Peer Educator will plan programs and events to promote recovery-supportive culture, lead Recovery Ally Trainings, facilitate peer support groups under supervision, and provide a safe and welcoming presence in the newly established CRP Lounge.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose.
