GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Records Technician provides specialized records, registration, and administrative support for Continuing Education programs. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate student and course records, supporting course creation and enrollment processes in Ellucian Colleague, tracking required student documentation, and ensuring compliance with college, state, and program-specific requirements. They will serve as a primary resource for students, instructors, coordinators, and external partners regarding registration and record-related processes.The Records Technician serves as a part of the registration team in Continuing Education, reporting to the Coordinators of Continuing Education and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:

Applicable federal and state regulations, accreditation requirements, and college policies related to student records, privacy, and continuing education programs; Skills in: 6. Providing professional, responsive customer service in person, by telephone, email, and virtual platforms; 7. Utilizing Microsoft Office and Adobe applications, database systems, and enterprise software to maintain records and generate reports; 8. Maintaining accurate records, filing systems, and electronic documentation; 9. Managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment; 10. Entering and verifying data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; Ability to: 11. Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in both oral and written formats; 12. Learn, adapt to, and effectively utilize new technologies, software applications, and administrative processes; 13. Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations related to continuing education operations and student records; 14. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information; 15. Work independently while contributing effectively as a member of a collaborative team; 16. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, instructors, staff, employers, and community partners; 17. Demonstrate sound organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills while supporting multiple programs and services; 18. Provide caring, high-quality service by creating welcoming experiences, communicating clearly and proactively, addressing needs with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring individuals are thoughtfully connected to appropriate resources.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: More than one year of work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Associate's degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
Experience: More than one year ofwork experience in an office environment
