Description

Our client is seeking a Records Management Specialist to support the Information Governance team in an Atlanta law firm office. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented and service-minded professional who is comfortable working with physical records and information tracking systems while supporting attorneys, legal teams and administrative staff.

The specialist will help manage client and firm information in accordance with established records processes and compliance standards. The role combines hands-on physical records work, records-system updates, internal service requests, retention workflows, reporting and support for office personnel.

Function: Information Governance. Environment: Legal / Professional. Hybrid.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate records for onsite files, containers, barcodes and storage locations

- Track and update information in the records management system

- Process requests from attorneys, legal teams and administrative staff

- Support physical file transfers related to client matter movement

- Review, organize, index and document physical records

- Assist with retention, disposition and destruction workflows

- Provide records-management activity metrics and reporting

- Support training and process-improvement initiatives

- Assist with additional information-management projects

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional-services experience

- Office, legal, administrative or records-related background

- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills

- Information management, records management or legal records experience preferred

- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

- Professional communication and customer-service mindset

- Comfortable supporting attorneys, staff and multi-office teams

Compensation: $45,000-$55,000 annual salary.
