Job Summary

The Record Center Specialist position involves physical tasks requiring frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending. The role primarily includes moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing between 24 lbs and over 100 lbs. Employees are expected to move these items manually and with hand carts.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing between 10-100 lbs regularly without assistance.
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Read and write English to process incoming and outgoing orders.
• Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.
• Operate a handheld scanner.
• Climb and balance on ladders.
• Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Capability to work without assistance to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surfaces or elevation.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.
• Proficiency in loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling aids.

Work Schedule

The normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

Additional Information

• Protective footwear is required and must meet ASTM F2413-11 standards for safety toe cap footwear with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best."
• This position does not require the worker to be a US Person to meet ITAR regulations.
• Public Trust Clearance does not apply to this requisition.
• This position has the potential to be Temp to Perm.
• A BI Exception does not apply to this requisition.
• This position is not for a building move.
• The Service Contract Act does not apply.
