Position Overview
A welcoming and organized church in The Woodlands is seeking a Temporary Receptionist to support daily front office operations during a temporary coverage period. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, members, and callers, providing friendly and professional assistance while supporting administrative functions within the church office.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist visitors, church members, and guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, scheduling, and document preparation.
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception and office area.
  • Coordinate with church staff to ensure smooth daily operations and communication.
  • Assist with light clerical tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and basic office technology.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a professional office environment.
  • Friendly, dependable, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Comfortable working in a church or faith-based environment.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Flexible temporary schedule; hours may vary based on church needs.
  • Monday–Friday daytime hours preferred.
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
