Front Office Receptionist

A Note from Mark Leal

When someone calls or visits my agency, I want them to feel welcomed and confident that they have reached a team that genuinely wants to help. That is why this position is so important. You will often be the first person our customers speak with and will help set the tone for their entire experience.

You do not need previous insurance experience to be considered. I am willing to train someone who is dependable, personable, organized, and genuinely interested in learning. If you enjoy helping people and want an opportunity to grow with an established local agency, this could be a great place to begin.

What Your Day May Look Like

No two days in an insurance office are exactly the same. In this role, you may be welcoming a customer, answering a billing question, scheduling an appointment, updating an account, or helping a team member follow up with someone who requested information.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming calls with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Welcoming customers who visit the office.
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining office communications.
  • Gathering basic information and connecting customers with the appropriate team member.
  • Updating customer records and documenting conversations accurately.
  • Following up on customer requests and helping ensure nothing is overlooked.
  • Assisting with billing questions, policy documents, and general account inquiries.
  • Recognizing when a customer may need additional insurance assistance and introducing them to a licensed team member.
  • Supporting the team with administrative projects and daily office needs.

Who Would Do Well in This Role?

This position may be a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy talking with people and making them feel comfortable.
  • Are patient and helpful when someone has questions.
  • Can stay organized while handling calls, appointments, and follow-up tasks.
  • Pay attention to details and take pride in completing work accurately.
  • Are dependable and willing to take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Are comfortable learning computer systems and office processes.
  • Respond well to feedback and want to continue improving.
  • Are willing to occasionally begin conversations about additional customer needs.

Experience in a receptionist, retail, hospitality, call center, or customer service role is helpful, but it is not required. I am more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Training and Career Growth

I will not expect you to walk in knowing everything about insurance. My team and I will help you learn our systems, processes, and approach to customer service.

If you enjoy the industry and want to take on more responsibility, there may also be an opportunity to obtain your insurance license and grow into a more advanced customer service or account representative position.

About Our Agency

I opened my State Farm agency in 2015 after spending more than 20 years in finance. Today, our bilingual team serves customers throughout Arlington, Euless, and the surrounding Tarrant County communities.

We work hard, support one another, and take pride in being available when our customers need us. I am looking for someone who wants to become a reliable part of that team.

If you are friendly, motivated, and ready to learn, I encourage you to apply. I would be happy to have a conversation about what you are looking for and what you could build here.

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.
