Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking a customer-service focused Receptionist to join us at our Balboa administrative office. As part of the largest girl-serving non-profit in the country, our programs build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for callers and visitors, and contribute to the organization through stellar customer service and administrative office support.

Key Duties:

  • Greet and assist all guests, including members, volunteers, and customers.
  • Answer, monitor, screen, and route incoming/outgoing calls using a multiple phone line system.
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries utilizing various systems including Salesforce, Doubleknot, Active, and others.
  • Provide administrative support including filing, records management, reporting, preparing letters, mailings, and packets, receiving and distributing mail, and other related duties.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, and facilitate check in/out of keys, equipment, or supplies.
  • Maintain cross-training in retail operations to provide coverage and support business needs.

Required Experience:

Candidates must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
  • Ability to represent Girl Scouts San Diego and interact professionally with visitors and staff at all levels, including via phone, email, and in-person, demonstrating strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with database and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with others.
  • Valid drivers’ license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
