    Description

    Summary:

    Performs designated routine tasks related to the operation of the Rehab Clinic department including pre and post-care treatment cleaning functions, supply inventory and environment of care processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Completes registration process for outpatients. Coordinates registration process with the Patient Access team.
    • Verifies payer for new and recurring therapy outpatients.
    • Schedules patients for appointments. Performs appointment reminders routinely.
    • Ensures full patient schedule capacity for each therapist.
    • Collaborates with the Referral Coordinator in ensuring active authorization for the therapy services when scheduling for outpatient appointments.
    • Performs front desk functions: greets patients, checks attendance and answers phone. Communicates with therapist re: patient’s attendance status.
    • Prepares, maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment when able to assist.
    • Performs regular (weekly) inventory and ordering of supplies.
    • Follows procedures for proper care of equipment and supplies.
    • Performs general office and clerical procedures including filing, copying, faxing, scanning, and record keeping.
    • Ensures the EOC compliance (hot pack and cold pack unit cleaning, temperature checks, cleanliness, equipment safety) of the PT department.
    • Cooperates with all staff in carrying out responsibilities.
    • Performs critical thinking and problem resolution process with the team necessary to effectively manage the front-line customer issues and related care provision processes.

     Qualifications:

    • Minimum High School/GED, Associates degree preferred
    • Minimum 3 – 5 ears of related experience
    • Experience with Meditech or EMR, Outlook, Appointment scheduling and Microsoft office is highly desirable
    • Bilingual Spanish-speaking Strongly Preferred
