Full Time Receptionist – Patient Registration

Haymarket Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art multispecialty facility dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in a comfortable and efficient outpatient setting. Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional Receptionist – Patient Registration team member to be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently managing registration, scheduling, and front desk operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.

  • Complete patient registration and check-in/check-out processes accurately.

  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.

  • Schedule, confirm, and update appointments using medical office software and EHR systems.

  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances in accordance with practice policies.

  • Answer and route phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information.

  • Maintain organized, accurate records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required.

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.

  • Demonstrated longevity in past roles; consistent work history is highly valued.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.

  • Proficiency in medical office software, scheduling systems, and electronic health records (EHR).

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR or BLS. CNA, MA or other certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.
