Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Receptionist / Assistant Property Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact, providing excellent customer service, and supporting daily property operations in a professional real estate and property management environment.

The Receptionist / Assistant Property Manager will help create a positive experience for tenants, employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while assisting with building coordination, administrative support, access management, and routine facilities communication. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented administrative or customer service professional who enjoys a stable workplace, positive teamwork, and a visible role that supports the smooth operation of a commercial property.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary point of contact at the building welcome desk and provide a professional first impression for tenants, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
- Greet guests, answer general questions, and direct visitors to the appropriate tenant, department, or building area.
- Manage building access cards, including issuing, tracking, updating, and maintaining accurate access information.
- Coordinate calendar scheduling and reservations for the building’s large meeting and event space.
- Receive tenant concerns, maintenance requests, and building-related issues, then communicate them to the appropriate property management contact or vendor.
- Monitor routine building matters such as fire panel alerts, parking lot concerns, and vendor activity, escalating issues as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $35,000 to $37,000 per year.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
