Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Receiving Quality Inspector in Chandler, Arizona for an approximately six-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform incoming inspection of flight-critical hardware and supplier documentation to ensure materials meet contractual, configuration, dimensional, and quality requirements before release to production.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of receiving inspection for proper part identity and dimensional conformance.
  • Experience or knowledge of visual inspection for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
  • Ability to make pass/fail acceptance decisions on inspected material.
  • Ability to accurately maintain inspection records.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation such as purchase orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or an equivalent aerospace/defense Quality Management System.
  • Familiarity with Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements (SQAR) and quality-code application in a government-contract environment.
  • Ability to perform visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • No security clearance required to start.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with TIPQA inspection management systems, including inspection records, NCR initiation, and inspection closure.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint for purchase-order lookup, quality-routing verification, or receiving activities.
  • Experience with SAP inspection codes or a comparable ERP receiving/inspection module.
  • IPC-A-610 Certified Inspection Specialist (CIS) or Certified IPC Trainer (CIT).
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-600 requirements for printed wiring board inspection.
  • CCAP or AS6081 training related to counterfeit-component detection and avoidance.
  • Experience supporting Material Review Board activities in an AS9100 or DCMA-oversight environment.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance, supplier quality, receiving inspection, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect incoming flight-critical hardware including electronic components, printed wiring boards, RF cable assemblies, commercial components, and furnished equipment.
  • Verify supplier documentation including Certificates of Conformance, test data, lot traceability, and applicable quality requirements.
  • Perform inspection activities in accordance with quality specifications, work instructions, and program requirements.
  • Create and complete inspection records within applicable quality systems.
  • Verify required quality-routing and inspection status before accepting material.
  • Initiate Nonconformance Reports for material that does not meet requirements.
  • Support Material Review Board documentation and disposition activities.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspections.
  • Place material on hold when documentation, configuration, or quality concerns remain unresolved.
  • Support root-cause and corrective-action activities related to supplier or receiving-quality issues.
  • Work with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production teams to resolve documentation and material discrepancies.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Full-time onsite in Chandler, Arizona.
  • 9/80 A schedule.

Pay

  • $32.30 per hour.
