Position Summary

The Receiving Inspector III is responsible for inspecting and accepting incoming aerospace components, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role requires strong inspection experience within aerospace manufacturing environments and the ability to work with machined parts, composites, and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection and acceptance of incoming materials and components.
• Verify parts meet purchase order and specification requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection criteria.
• Enter inspection and measurement data into ERP/database systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding missing certifications and documentation.
• Review, organize, scan, and maintain inspection records.
• Identify damaged or non-conforming material and initiate NCR processes.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
• Train and mentor team members as needed.
• Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6-8+ years of inspection experience.
• Aerospace industry experience.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Experience working to aerospace, military, government, or equivalent quality standards.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications.

Preferred Skills

• Odoo ERP experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality management standards.
• Experience in aerospace start-up or "New Space" environments.
