    Description

Last Energy is seeking a Receiving & Inspection Technician to perform incoming inspection and receiving support for components, materials, and equipment. This is a hands-on, floor-based role at the front end of our quality system: you will be the first checkpoint ensuring that what comes through our dock matches what our engineers specified.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts, raw materials, and equipment against purchase orders, drawings, and specifications
    • Use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic CMM support) to verify dimensional and visual conformance
    • Verify and record certifications, material test reports, heat/lot numbers, and other traceability documentation for nuclear-grade materials
    • Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material, and route it through the nonconformance process
    • Maintain accurate receiving and inspection records in the ERP/MRP system
    • Stage, label, and kit inspected materials for release to manufacturing, stores, or quarantine
    • Coordinate with Procurement and Supplier Quality on receiving discrepancies, shortages, and damaged shipments
    • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy checks, and basic warehouse organization (5S)
    • Escalate recurring supplier quality issues to the Quality & Engineering teams

    Qualifications

    • Degree preferred, not required
    • 1-3 years of experience in receiving inspection, quality control, or a manufacturing/warehouse/startup environment
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, and basic GD&T callouts
    • Working knowledge of standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
    • Comfort with ERP/MRP systems and basic data entry
    • Extemely high attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over documentation accuracy
    • Ability to lift and move materials as part of routine receiving and staging work
    • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
