Department Detail –The Billy Graham Library supports the mission of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to proclaim the Gospel to all we can by every effective means available to us, and by equipping the church and others to do the same. Our staff and volunteers present the Gospel through the Journey of Faith tour, Memorial Prayer Garden, Homeplace, and evangelistic outreaches like Christmas at the Library. We also serve and equip Christians through Ruth’s Attic bookstore, Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, group programs, special events, memorabilia displays, student resources, communications, and donor ministry activities.
Job Summary – The Ruth's Attic Receiving Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receiving and distribution of all books and merchandise for Ruth’s Attic; works diligently to ensure stock room and dock area are properly maintained at all times; receives deliveries from vendors and adds items received to existing stock or notifies appropriate department.
Ministry Requirements

- Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits

- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates deliveries to Library receiving area
- Inspects delivered items for shipping damages and completes related documentation in order to complete receiving process
- Completes all daily shipping and receiving responsibilities including, unpacking, counting and recording the receipt of shipped goods to ensure that orders have been correctly satisfied
- Responsible for accurately reconciling packing lists with invoices in a timely manner
- Assists in resolving any daily shipping, receiving and inventory discrepancies
- Monitors productivity to ensure just in time inventory and efficiency
- Prioritizes multiple tasks that require accuracy and speed within a deadline
- Prepares merchandise for sale by entering information into ECR Software and pricing accordingly
- Prepares, labeling, packing, wrapping, and shipping of the customer orders and returns
- Supervises the audits of storeroom and stock areas and tracks inventory for these areas
- Checks, fills and verifies the customer invoices
- Handles customer's orders as well as returns
- Manages the storeroom equipment properly
- Keeps a hygienic working environment and improves space utilization of inventory and supplies
- Communication with their supervisors and coworkers outside vendors and customers
- Distribution of materials to various departments incoming to the library
- Creates and maintains organization plan for location of stock room merchandise to achieve optimum efficiency, and communicates accordingly to Ruth’s Attic staff regarding location and handling
- Creates receiving paperwork, uses multiple software and works with various departments to maintain and track receiving paperwork
- Serves as back-up to management in the areas of house charges, refunds, assisting on sales floor, coverage of lunch/break time, open/close bookstore, and other areas as assigned
- Maintains restock of merchandise on sales floor, organization and stocking of front cabinets
- Communicates with various Billy Graham Library departments to ensure the loading dock area remains organized and prepared for arriving shipments
- Status check orders and obtain ship dates for product, as directed by management
- Assists in monthly and annual physical inventory reconciling
- Maintains shipping log with accurate and most current information

Job Specifications
Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum of high school education or equivalency, with related experience being highly preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with bookstore staff, external delivery services, vendors, and various levels of BGEA staff and affiliates
- Ability to verbally relate to others and possess good computer skills and software experience, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to use walkie-talkie radio, telephone, computer, standard office equipment, and Point of Sale devices
- Proven initiative, requiring minimal direct supervision
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Works with speed and accuracy
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, supervision, and management
- Knowledge of various theological positions preferred

- Moderate in scope, with varying levels of activity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with varying frequency
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) is a faith-based religious organization committed to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through every effective means. Consistent with our charitable purpose to share the Christian faith, a requirement for employment at BGEA is affirmation and adherence to our Christian Statement of Faith. Our Statement of Faith prerequisite for employment is based upon federal law set forth in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. Section 2000e-1.
