Open Plan Systems ships its products nationwide, with a focus on the Eastern United States. Job DescriptionWe are looking for a responsible Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments of products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders as well as pack, unpack, and mark stock items using identification tag, stamp, or electronic marking tool or other labeling equipment. A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately. Candidate must be able to:To enter and record inventory counts in the computerized system.Identify incorrect items and notify their supervisor.Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.Verify computations against physical count of stock.Keep correct inventory counts on product within candidate's work area.Responsible for keeping area clean and well stocked.Pack, unpack and mark items for inventoryClean and organize productFollow direct instructions for manufacturing processesUse of hand tools to manufacture certain productsCollaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveriesReceive shipments and sign paperwork upon receiptUnload packages from incoming trucksInspect contents to ensure they are undamagedVerify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated placeMaintain accurate records and assist in inventory controlAdditional responsibilities will be assigned as required. Job Requirements:Good understanding and basic knowledge of a warehouse environment.Ability to handle intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.Able to function in a working environment is comfortable atmosphere with irregular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, and/or loud noise, which may cause noticeable discomfort.Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar positionExperience in operating forkliftsWorking knowledge of computer programs for entering dataBasic math and recording abilitiesExcellent organizational skillsGreat communication and interpersonal abilitiesKeen eye for detailAbility to work well with others: A 'team player' attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
