GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Resilience in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST) Program Coordinator supports collaborative efforts among community members, youth organizations, and coalition partners to identify gaps in services and implement strategies, programs, and activities that build resilience, strengthen protective factors, and improve community well-being in response to stress and trauma.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in community relations, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years providing services to families or children preferred
- Has current training and/or credentials, or will receive training and/or credentials upon hiring in Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care
- Ability to learn and effectively present evidence based practices
- Demonstrated experience working within systems to remove barriers for families seeking services, as well as ability to arrange interagency meetings designed to coordinate services and ensure effective collaboration
- Must pass a criminal background check. Valid Ohio driver''s license with good driving record and daily access to private insured vehicle during work hours.
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Assist in planning community conversations for the residents, youth groups, and coalition partners
- Attend meetings with collaborative members and in the community
- Develop rapport with local social service partners and community resources
- Build and maintain a professional, responsive relationship with community partners
- Submit regular programmatic reports to the Program Manager, as well as to other identified partners requesting data
- Participate in the installation and showing of the Photo Voice project
- Attend community events, meetings, and resource fairs
- Provide logistical and administrative support for training events, including coordinating setup, preparing materials, ensuring participant sign-in and attendance documentation are completed accurately, and assisting with post-training cleanup and event closeout.
- Assist in outreach efforts
- Ensure confidentiality and execute duties in an ethical manner
