Description

Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact.

As a professional in our business valuation practice you will have an opportunity to gain valuable experience working with leading valuation specialists to help our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant on the Valuation & Modeling team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research from both primary and secondary data sources
  • Data mining and organizing data
  • Interviewing market participants and property managers
  • Writing quality memos and reports
  • Performing lease abstractions, audits & revenue optimization analysis
  • Performing financial / cash flow modeling
  • Preparing Argus/DYNA/Excel based models
  • Analyzing of economic and/or demographic data
  • Understanding and applying applicable audit / reporting rules and analyses
  • Performing inspections of real estate projects, and performing 3rd-party appraisal review

The team

Our Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in one of the following majors including: real estate, economics, accounting, finance or business administration with a real estate / economic focus, or a related field of study
  • 4+ years of relevant real estate work experience in areas such as: property-related issues, including due diligence, lease advisory, market analyses, underwriting process evaluations, portfolio related services, litigation support and expert witness services, and complex property analysis and valuation
  • Experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports, exhibits, letters, and other client deliverables; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools and digital technologies to improve efficiency, support analysis, and enhance the quality of work products
  • Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Exposure and/or experience with Argus Enterprise
  • Progress towards Real Estate state appraiser licensure
  • MAI, CPA, CFA, or ASA all considered positive

This compensation range is specific to NYC and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $188,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
