Job Title: Real Estate Senior Closing Manager (this role may be filled at a lower level depending upon the experience of the candidate pool. Candidates without affordable housing experience, but with real estate closing experience can be considered for a Real Estate Closing Manager position.)

What You’ll Do

The Senior Closing Manager work with Real Estate Development team members to lead and track affordable and senior housing real estate closings. With additional responsibility in acquisition due diligence process.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the due diligence process leading up to and including real estate closing while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail

• Form and maintain real estate business entities for individual communities

• Draft and finalize organizational documents and purchase agreements

• Assist in preparation of various types of applications including but not limited to Low Income Housing Tax Credit applications, HUD insured loan applications, and USDA loan applications

• Order and review real estate title and survey

• Manage the due diligence process with real estate lenders and equity providers from inception to closing

• Provide training and mentorship of junior team members

• Perform other related duties as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate or related field, preferred 

• Minimum 7 years of previous experience in real estate closings and 3-5 years of experience closing Low Income Housing Tax Credit transactions with various sources of financing including but not limited to HUD insured loans and USDA loans

• Requires a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Experience preparing various types of real estate loan applications

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and a team player that can collaborate across multiple teams within the organization.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Notary Public, required upon hire.
