A premier, growth-oriented law firm is seeking a senior or partner attorney to join its Commercial Real Estate Practice Group. This role is designed for a business-minded transactional attorney who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is ready to contribute strategically to the expansion of a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will possess deep experience managing complex transactions, mentoring junior attorneys, and cultivating long-term client relationships. To ensure success on this platform, the incoming Partner should bring an established, portable book of business ($200K–$300K in recurring relationships) and a proven track record of business development. This position offers significant autonomy, clear leadership pathways, and a collaborative platform to scale your practice.

Practice Focus Breakdown

  • 40% Commercial acquisitions and dispositions
  • 30% Landlord/tenant leasing matters (office, retail, industrial)
  • 20% Private lending and secured financing transactions
  • 10% General advisory matters (entity structuring, title/survey review, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Leadership: Serve as lead counsel on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, managing all phases of execution from structuring and negotiation through closing.
  • Client Management & Growth: Deepen existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business development initiatives to expand your portable practice and cross-sell firm capabilities.
  • Team Mentorship: Oversee, train, and mentor associates and legal support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient work product.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with practice group leadership on strategic planning, market expansion, and internal growth initiatives.
  • Firm Visibility: Act as a thought leader by participating in firm marketing efforts, industry networking events, and speaking engagements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the state bar (or eligible for immediate admission via reciprocity)
  • Experience: 10+ years of dedicated commercial real estate experience
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of title insurance, surveys, zoning, and land use regulations.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated capability to manage a portfolio of clients, with a preferred portable book of business valued at $200K–$300K.
  • Leadership Style: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a high degree of self-direction, and a genuine commitment to fostering a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture.
