Our prestigious legal firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate, leasing, financing, and transactional work, particularly within the New Jersey area. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of real estate law and transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of real estate transactions, from initiation to closing, and will play a critical role in the success of our firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review real estate documents including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, financing agreements, and closing documents.
  • Conduct due diligence including title and survey review, environmental investigations, and property and corporate entity searches.
  • Coordinate and assist with closings including preparing closing checklists, coordinating with all parties involved, and ensuring all necessary documents are properly executed and delivered.
  • Manage and track transactional timelines and deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with appropriate entities.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage case document databases.
  • Liaise with local government and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate law, particularly within the New Jersey area.
  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing real estate documents such as leases, purchase agreements, deeds, and financing agreements.
  • Excellent research and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using legal research software and other related software.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
