Job Details

The Residential/Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing, due diligence, and closings.

This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.
Review purchase and sale agreements, leases, title commitments, surveys, and loan documents.
Order, review, and analyze title commitments, title exceptions, municipal lien searches, and estoppel certificates.
Prepare closing checklists, settlement statements, closing packages, deeds, affidavits, and other closing-related documentation.
Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, surveyors, brokers, and opposing counsel throughout the transaction process.
Conduct due diligence reviews and assist attorneys in identifying title, survey, zoning, and transactional issues.
Review and track critical contract deadlines and closing requirements.
Prepare and file organizational and recording documents as necessary.
Maintain transaction files and ensure compliance with firm and client requirements.
Assist with post-closing matters, including recording documents, title policy issuance, and closing binder preparation.
Support attorneys with commercial leasing transactions and related documentation.


Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of residential and/or commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm, title company, or related legal environment.
Strong knowledge of Florida real estate transactions and closing procedures.
Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, and closing documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience with real estate closing software and document management systems is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
Commercial acquisition and disposition transactions.
Commercial leasing matters.
Real estate financing and lender representation.
Multi-property and high-volume transaction management.
Condominium, mixed-use, or development-related transactions.
