We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our Real Estate/Estate Planning Team in our Geneva office. The successful candidate will support attorneys in all phases of the real estate process. They will play a critical role in managing client files, maintaining compliance, and facilitating clear communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- \n
- Work directly with Title Insurance company to process contracts
- \n
- Work directly with Real Estate Agents to process contracts
- \n
- Draft estate planning documents to include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and related amendments.
- \n
- Collect and organize financial, personal, and asset information from clients.
- \n
- Manage and maintain client files, both digital and physical, in accordance with firm policies.
- \n
- Monitor deadlines and maintain tickler systems for follow-up.
- \n
- Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant estate, tax, and probate laws.
- \n
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, and other third parties.
- \n

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Experience with Real Estate and/or Title Insurance helpful
- \n
- Strong understanding of Real Estate documents, terminology, and procedures.
- \n
- Experience with legal practice management software such as Smokeball.
- \n
- Notary Public license-can obtain once employed
- \n

Working Conditions:

- Primarily office-based with standard business hours, some flexibility may be required.
- \n
- Occasional client meetings or signings may occur outside of normal office hours.

Pay & Benefits:
\n
- \n
- $25-35 per hour - Commensurate with experience
- \n
- 30-40 hours (can offer some flexibility)
