Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Real Estate Lead to manage and optimize a portfolio of data center and telecom infrastructure assets. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, including site acquisition, lease negotiation, and long-term capacity planning.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data center leasing, power and space planning, and telecom infrastructure requirements, with the ability to support business growth through effective real estate strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with planning and engineering teams to identify and secure strategic technical real estate locations across major markets
  • Lead negotiations for leases, renewals, amendments, expansions, and site acquisitions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for landlords, brokers, and property managers
  • Manage third-party brokerage and vendor relationships
  • Evaluate and execute real estate transactions, including new builds, site purchases, and lease agreements
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support real estate investments and present to executive leadership
  • Conduct due diligence for site acquisitions, including contract negotiation, title review, and environmental assessments
  • Monitor and optimize the existing real estate portfolio, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including product, engineering, finance, legal, sales, and network operations

Technical Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in data center leasing and infrastructure requirements
  • Plan and evaluate space utilization, including:
    • Power capacity and provisioning
    • Square footage and layout optimization
    • HVAC and generator requirements
  • Manage and negotiate agreements, including:
    • Master Service Agreements (MSA)
    • Master Commercial Agreements (MCA)
    • Statements of Work (SOW)
    • Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Oversee data center configurations, including:
    • Rack, cabinet, and cage allocations
    • Cross-connects and fiber panel configurations
    • ISP/OSP conduit pathways
  • Support third-party data center environments and colocation strategies
  • Note: This role does not include wireless infrastructure responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in technical real estate, preferably within telecom or data center environments
  • Proven experience negotiating complex lease agreements and managing real estate transactions
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, space, and connectivity requirements
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills, including experience building financial models
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telecom, fiber, or network infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with colocation and third-party data center providers
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure growth and expansion initiatives
  • Exposure to U.S. and international real estate markets
