Selby Jennings is partnering with a highly active real estate investment platform to identify a Closing Associate to support the execution of complex debt and equity transactions across the commercial real estate landscape. This opportunity offers direct exposure to acquisitions, senior lending, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, and structured capital transactions across a diverse investment portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented real estate professional who thrives in fast-paced transaction environments and enjoys managing multiple stakeholders through the closing process. This individual will serve as a central point of coordination between investment professionals, legal counsel, consultants, asset management, treasury, borrowers, and external vendors to ensure successful transaction execution.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full transaction closing process from signed term sheet through funding and post-closing activities.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts, including third-party reports such as appraisals, environmental studies, property condition assessments, insurance reviews, tax analyses, and zoning reports.
- Maintain transaction timelines, diligence trackers, closing checklists, and internal reporting materials to ensure deadlines are met.
- Review construction, environmental, insurance, and organizational documentation to identify risks and drive resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and reconcile transaction budgets, sources and uses statements, reserve calculations, closing statements, and funding requirements.
- Coordinate funding mechanics, capital calls, treasury functions, servicing transitions, and post-closing deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 6+ years of experience in commercial real estate, real estate lending, transaction management, capital markets, loan closing, legal, escrow, title, or related transaction-focused environments.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate debt and equity transaction structures.
- Familiarity with diligence processes including title, survey, environmental, construction, insurance, and third-party consultant management.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience supporting transaction budgets, reconciliations, and closing economics.
- Exceptional project management, organization, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent transactions.
