Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Real Estate & Public Finance Paralegal for a highly respected law firm with a sophisticated transactional practice serving businesses, developers, financial institutions, and public-sector clients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking an experienced Real Estate & Public Finance Paralegal to provide substantive support on sophisticated public finance, affordable housing, real estate development, and municipal finance transactions. This role will be highly involved in real estate due diligence, title and survey review, transaction management, closing coordination, and post-closing activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented transactional professional who can independently manage multiple active matters, anticipate deadlines, and coordinate effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside transaction participants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support all phases of public finance and real estate transactions, including bond issuances, affordable housing financings, development matters, and other municipal finance transactions

• Order, review, and analyze title commitments, title exception documents, surveys, zoning reports, and related due diligence materials; prepare summaries and assist with identifying and resolving issues

• Manage transaction checklists, due diligence materials, closing requirements, and critical deadlines across multiple concurrent matters

• Prepare, organize, review, and proofread transaction documents, closing materials, signature packets, and execution documents

• Coordinate closing activities with attorneys, clients, title companies, surveyors, lenders, developers, governmental agencies, underwriters, trustees, financial advisors, and other transaction participants

• Manage electronic closing files and post-closing activities, including tracking executed documents, finalizing closing deliverables, and preparing closing binders

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate, public finance, corporate transactions, commercial finance, or a closely related transactional practice

• Strong experience with title and survey review and knowledge of transactional legal processes, due diligence, closing documentation, and transaction management

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple transactions, competing priorities, and closing deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to delivering polished work product and exceptional client service

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the flexibility to work additional hours when necessary to meet transaction and closing demands

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This opportunity offers competitive compensation ranging from $80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The position has a minimum annual billable requirement of 1,400 hours, with increased billable performance providing the opportunity for larger compensation increases.
