As the firm continues to grow, it is seeking an accomplished Business & Real Estate Litigation Attorney to expand and complement its existing litigation practice.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced attorney with approximately 10+ years of business and real estate litigation experience and a portable book of business of at least $500,000. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial attorney who enjoys developing client relationships, handling sophisticated commercial disputes, and contributing to the continued growth of a collaborative, highly respected firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage a sophisticated caseload of business and commercial real estate litigation matters from inception through trial.
- Maintain and continue growing an established portable book of business of $500,000+.
- Develop new business opportunities through client relationships, networking, and referrals.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including:
- Pleadings
- Discovery
- Depositions
- Motion practice
- Mediations
- Arbitrations
- Trial preparation and trial
- Advise business owners, developers, investors, landlords, and commercial clients on complex legal disputes.
- Collaborate with attorneys across complementary practice areas to provide comprehensive client service.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm's collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
- Approximately 10+ years of business and/or commercial real estate litigation experience.
- Portable book of business of at least $500,000.
- Demonstrated success handling complex commercial litigation matters.
- Strong courtroom, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent client relationship and business development abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a long-term practice.
