Real Estate Accounting Specialist, Receivables - Lakeland

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of formal training/certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position. knowledge and understanding of legal, Real Estate terminology and Uniform Commercial Code (“UCC”) section 1-303 on Course of Performance, Course of Dealing, and Usage of Trade.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of formal training/certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position
• Two years in an analytical field or role, such as finance, accounting, or real estate (e.g., common area maintenance settlements)
• Knowledge of Accounting principles, Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables functions, as well as accounting regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 -2 years of experience in general real estate or accounting OR
• 1 year of experience as a Publix retail associate
• knowledge and understanding of legal, Real Estate terminology and Uniform Commercial Code (“UCC”) section 1-303 on Course of Performance, Course of Dealing, and Usage of Trade
• knowledge of various GAAP standards governing real estate accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and controls relating to Expense Payables
• intermediate Microsoft Access skills
• advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• experience with SAP, Compass, or BWP (Business Workplace) applications
