Job Title: Reading Specialist
Location: North Lake School
Reports To: Superintendent / Principal
Position Summary
North Lake School is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and student-centered educational leader to serve as our Reading Specialist. This important role requires a dynamic professional who will leverage their expertise as a licensed Reading Specialist to enhance our literacy programs.
The ideal candidate will foster a culture of academic excellence, data-driven instruction, and continuous professional growth among our instructional staff.
Key Responsibilities
Literacy & Reading Specialist Oversight
Literacy Framework: Serve as the district authority on literacy instruction, ensuring Act 20 compliance
Intervention Framework: Partner with classroom teachers and interventionists to design, monitor, and refine the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for all core classes.
Education: Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field.
Skills: Solid training in the Science of Reading
