Description: Reading Specialist
Job Summary:
- Ability to deliver reading intervention to students in grades K-4;
- Data collection, analysis and reporting;
- Working closely with ELA Supervisor, SE Supervisor and School Administration;
- Identify programmatic needs and materials;
- Assess and identify students for inclusion in intervention program;
- Strong ability to collaborate with school administration, teachers, and support staff in order to provide instructional support as needed;
- Plan and implement lessons aligned with grade level standards;
- Utilize researched based and innovative approaches and instructional strategies;
- Reflective and open to feedback;
- Monitor student progress and program efficacy.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification;
- Students with Disabilities or TOH Certification a plus;
- Reading Specialist Certification a must;
- Minimum 5 years effective / highly effective teaching experience;
- Experience with Read 180 and/or System 44 a plus.
Working Conditions: Hackensack Middle School
Salary: As per HBOE/HEA Agreement
