Purpose:
The successful candidate will join our Center for Reading Science team supporting preschool and elementary schools' implementation of evidence-based reading instruction within an MTSS framework. This is a full-time (12-month), professional services position.
The School of Education at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Literacy Coach position. This role will support the scaling up efforts of Project Ready! (our open source preschool project) and support professional development and coaching projects in elementary schools.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the science of reading and MTSS as well as experience in early childhood and elementary literacy instruction, coaching educators, and delivering professional development. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact student outcomes while building school and educator capacity through instructional coaching, modeling best practices, creating tools and resources, and supporting sustainable literacy efforts in schools and community-based programs.
Mount St. Joseph University's Reading Science Program is an IDA Accredited Plus program with pathways to all levels of certification through the International Dyslexia Association.
