Position Overview:
The Holy Hill Area School District is seeking a full-time elementary reading interventionist to join the Friess Lake Elementary School team. Interventionists provide instruction in literacy across the grade levels working with small groups and in the classroom to provide literacy support. This position would include collaborative time with our Reading Specialist. Friess Lake Elementary School utilizes the following curriculum resources for literacy: From Phonics to Reading, Collaborative Classroom for Reading/Writing (new in 2026-27), and a variety of interventions: UFLI, Heggerty, etc. We are heavily invested in the PLC and RtI at Work process to support professional growth and layers of instruction for all students to succeed at high levels.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Foster positive, encouraging relationships with students to drive academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Instructional Planning: Develop lesson plans aligned with student needs using district approved interventions and resources.
- Curricular Expertise: Maintain a willingness to be trained in (or demonstrate experience with) From Phonics to Reading, Collaborative Classroom, UFLI, Heggerty, Orton Gillingham
- Assessment & Feedback: Utilize student assessment to guide instructional decisions and provide meaningful feedback.
- Student Supervision: Assume full responsibility for the safety and supervision of students.
- Intervention Support: Implement district-approved RtI (Response to Intervention) strategies and instruction to support diverse learner needs.
- School Culture: Actively participate in school-wide PBIS, Character Strong instruction, and restorative practices.
- PLC Collaboration: Engage effectively with colleagues within a Professional Learning Community to improve student outcomes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze student and system data to inform professional decision-making.
