At Tulsa Honor Academy (THA), we are on a mission to equip all scholars with the academic skills, content knowledge, and ethical character required for college graduation and life success.
We believe ALL scholars, regardless of race, background, income or ability, can achieve at high levels. We work relentlessly to ensure 100% of scholars are on a path to go to and graduate from a college of their choice, beginning in the fifth grade.
Opening our doors in 2015 with 92 fifth grade scholars, THA will grow to serve over 1,400 scholars in grades 5-12 across our three schools in the 2026-2027 academic year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Tulsa Honor Academy’s Reading Intervention Manager is a member of our Network Leadership Team. This role oversees reading interventions across the THA network. As part of Tulsa Honor Academy’s 2026-2027 Wildly Important Priority, the Reading Intervention Manager will help drive ELA results by supporting schools with reading investment and by building a strong Tier 1 culture of reading. The Reading Intervention Manager will support schools with their Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading interventions, ensuring all scholars have the literacy skills necessary to access and succeed in our academically rigorous program.

Core Responsibilities
- Culture Of Reading: Supports schools in implementing structures, incentives, and projects that build investment in reading. Ensures that scholars are getting sufficient independent reading time and have access to high quality, interesting texts at their level. Collaborates with families and schools to strengthen and support a culture of reading.
- Reading MTSS (Multi-tired System of Supports): Coordinates the identification of scholars needing reading intervention, ensuring that scholars are receiving the reading interventions needed. Support in diagnosing foundational decoding and fluency gaps. Monitors progress for scholars receiving reading interventions and strategically responds to student data.
- Professional Development and Supplemental Coaching: Ensures that staff responsible for providing reading interventions, are equipped to provide interventions aligned with the Science of Reading and do so with fidelity.
- Tier 3 Reading Interventions: Directly provides foundational literacy support in small groups as part of reading MTSS.
- Other projects, as needed
THE DETAILS
Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with phonics instruction required.
- Experience with K-2 literacy instruction preferred.
Experience
- 2 years of experience as a K-12 literacy teacher is required.
- Proven track record of academic growth and achievement.
- Experience in leading teachers is preferred.
- Prior experience in a school serving a similar population to THA’s is preferred.
- Charter school experience is preferred.
Role
- The Reading Intervention Manager will work on THA’s Network Team and report to the Director of Scholar Interventions.
- Full time, year round, exempt.
Compensation and Benefits
