RCS-Coding Clinical Team Lead

Job Description

This position is responsible for leadership of assigned clinical teams within IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks. Serves as the first tier escalation for clinical team members on task-oriented problems or issues and supports management in promotion of staff development and the allocation and coordination of daily work.

Requirements

For Clinical Position: • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN) or Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

For Coding Position: • Prefer one of the following or a combination of Associates or Bachelors degree in HIM or HIM-related field, coding credential through AHIMA, or coding credential through AAPC.

For Charging Position: • Prefer an Associates or Bachelors degree in a business-related field.

Requirements for All Positions: • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in business analytics using tools such as SQL and Excel. • Requires a minimum of 5 years of clinical healthcare experience. • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience with Indiana University Health Revenue Cycle Services. • Requires expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations. • Requires a high level of interpersonal problem-solving and analytic skills. • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings. • Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members. • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
