Job Objective:
Professionally skilled in the application of respiratory care services; may be responsible for assisting with intubation procedures requiring specialized training depending on staffing needs.
Job Description:
Education:
Required: Graduate from an associate degree Respiratory Therapy training program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Professions (CAAHEP) in collaboration with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
Licensure/Certification:
Required: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Respiratory Care Board of California, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA); additional certifications required as outlined:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA upon hire:
Experience:
Preferred: Experience in an acute care facility
