JOB TITLE: Raw Material & Preparation Handler

DEPARTMENT: Cut/Laminate Department

REPORTS TO: Cut/Laminate Supervisor, 2nd Shift Supervisor

SHIFT: 2nd Shift, Monday – Thursday 4PM-2AM with extended hours as required

HOURLY RATE: $15.25 plus $1.50 shift differential

SUMMARY: The Raw Material & Preparation Handler is responsible for supporting daily production operations by cutting bolt materials to required specifications, maintaining raw material inventory, and preparing materials for the following day's production. This position plays an important role in ensuring the Cut & Laminate Department has sufficient materials available to maintain efficient workflow and minimize production delays. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and capable of working independently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cut bolt materials according to established specifications, production requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor material availability and proactively prepare sufficient cut materials to support departmental production needs throughout the week.
• Maintain accurate raw material inventory, including monitoring stock levels, organizing materials, and reporting shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Prepare and organize materials and work assignments for the following day's first-shift operations to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
• Support the Cut & Laminate Department by cutting patches using manual scissors, electric scissors, and clicker machines according to production specifications.
• Safely operate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and bolt lifts, to transport and position raw materials.
• Ensure materials are properly identified, organized, and stored in designated locations.
• Inspect cut materials for accuracy and quality, identifying and reporting defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment concerns, and production needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Coordinate with production personnel to prioritize material preparation based on departmental needs.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and established production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
