Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in Training, Facilitation, Ramp Services, or Operations
  • Up to 75% travel as needed
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including building relationships with operational leaders, safety teams, and cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and translate them into effective training solutions for ramp operations
  • Experience in curriculum design and development, including creating instructional materials and training programs
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

About the job:

The Ramp Training Instructor leverages hands-on expertise in learning and development to expand organizational capabilities. This role deepens knowledge of United''s training frameworks and workforce development requirements while executing diverse assignments that support the company''s learning strategy. The Ramp Training Instructor analyzes training needs using established guidelines and develops and delivers learning programs.

Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:

Design:

  • Updates instructional guides and reference materials.
  • Proposes improvements to curriculum content, delivery, communication, and documentation processes.

Delivery (and Logistics):

  • Delivers content instruction, owning session management from beginning to end - session requests, managing rosters and enrollment, setting up classroom, session close out.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support (e.g., reservations, ordering meals/supplies, data management, and file organization).
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for training content design, project implementation, and policy review.

Technology and Systems:

  • Administers Learning Management Systems (LMS), including session management, participant enrollment, attendance, and assessments.
  • Provides technical and procedural support on training-related issues.

Assessment and Metrics:

  • Ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Prepares written summaries of training classes, including notes on individual student performance.

Business Partnership and Support:

  • Drafts communication plans and programs for key initiatives.
  • Manages participant communications, focusing on enrollment and general course inquiries.

The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
