Purpose The purpose of this position is to perform professional radon measurements in accordance with applicable state regulations, industry standards, and AA Home Inspection procedures. The Radon Measurement Technician installs and retrieves radon measurement devices, verifies required testing conditions, maintains accurate documentation, and provides exceptional service while representing AA Home Inspection.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform residential and commercial radon measurements utilizing CRM’s.
Install, retrieve, and properly operate radon measurement devices.
Verify and document required testing conditions before beginning a measurement.
Maintain accurate testing records and chain-of-custody documentation.
Download, review, and submit radon measurement data.
Prepare accurate and timely radon measurement reports.
Maintain assigned vehicles, equipment, and testing devices in proper working condition.
Communicate professionally with clients, occupants, real estate professionals, and office staff.
Follow all applicable safety procedures while performing field work.
Maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and computer software.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Licensing Ohio
Obtain and maintain an Ohio Radon Measurement License.
Successfully complete all state licensing requirements, including the required examination and background investigation.
Complete all continuing education required for license renewal.
Kentucky
Obtain and maintain all licenses or certifications required by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Complete all continuing education required to maintain licensure.
Company-sponsored licensing and training may be available for qualified candidates.
Physical Requirements Must be able to:
Drive throughout the assigned service area.
Walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs.
Access readily accessible basements, crawl spaces, and other areas of buildings.
Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
Work safely in varying weather and environmental conditions.
