Responsibilities/Job Description:

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at our M Health Clinic and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day shift, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.

 

Under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist/Physician, the technologist prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders and patient history to ensure appropriateness of exam/procedure. Technologist performs diagnostic procedures including complex vascular and non-vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. Utilizes familiarity with sterile procedures to prepare and maintain a sterile field during procedures. Adheres to standard precautions at all times. Participates as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary care delivery team consisting of interventional radiologists, Physicians, nurses and technologists.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for interventional procedures by confirming physician orders, verifying patient identities, and obtaining adequate medical histories to ensure the appropriateness of examinations/procedures and facilitate timely accurate diagnosis or treatment of the patient.
  • Performs diagnostic/therapeutic radiology procedures on all patient age groups.
  • Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, standards, and protocols to ensure effective departmental operations and delivering quality patient care.
  • Produces high quality diagnostic images using a wide variety of imaging modalities and sends exams to PACS archiving.
  • Circulates within procedure room and procures all equipment needed for any given procedure. Maintains a sterile field during interventional procedures, following principles of aseptic technique, and adheres to standard precautions at all times.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors by requiring and supporting the establishment, maintenance, and education of an effective safety program.


Required Qualifications

  • 2 years Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
  • ARRT Radiology Tech
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

 

Qualifications:

$35.58- $50.24 Hourly
