    Position Highlights

    Provide PRN coverage based on department needs (weekday/weekend call coverage).

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Radiology Technologist supports department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to establish protocols.
    • Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
    • Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
    • Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
    • Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
    • Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS
    • Handles the necessary paperwork, filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
    • Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
    • Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
    • Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.

    None.

    EDUCATION

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

    Licensed by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Must be eligible for ARRT certification. CT certification and/or experience preferred.

    ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS

    • Maintain competency through continuing education.
    • Support department workflow and coverage needs.
    • Provide patient-centered care in a team environment.
