    Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

    • Practices proper entries and records on the imaging system and radiology information system.
    • Prepares patient for Radiological procedure by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education.
    • Operates radiological equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
    • Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
    • Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
    • Practices safety measures in radiology and Environment of Care.
    • Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
    • Performs all duties in which individual is licensed to perform under ARRT guidelines.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Supervision:

    • Reports To: Site Administrator

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

    • Associate's degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area
    • Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
    • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

    Equipment:

    • Standard Radiology
    • Office equipment.

    Working Environment:

    • Standard Outpatient Center.
    • Some lifting, moving, and positioning of patients and equipment.
