    Summary

    Prepares patients for exams to assist in department efficiency. Duties include preparing the patient for procedure by gowning, reviewing history and screening form, room preparation and gathering of supplies for procedures, escorting of patient in and out of department, and cleaning of rooms for the following exam. Provides general clerical support for the department as needed.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Self starter with strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families, and coworkers
    • Current CPR card
    • Basic computer skills, operate telephone and fax
    • Must be able to speak and read English

    Preferred

    • Basic medical terminology
    • Understanding of MRI/ Radiology Safety

    Essential Functions

    • Greets patients, escorts patients, assist patients with mobility restrictions.
    • Prepare patient for exam including gowning patient if needed, reviewing history/ screening form.
    • Confirms and communicates with technologist for proper exam ordering and set up.
    • Communicates effectively and professionally with physicians, patients, leadership, and staff.
    • Other clerical duties as assigned.
    • Transport and assist with patients in and out of the department.
    • Restock rooms, supply cabinets, and carts
    • Must be willing to rotate to other facilities as needed for patient care.
    • Must be able to work overtime if needed.
    • Adhere to all department policies and protocols.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
