Who We Are:
The Division of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology is located within the hospital (SZ campus) and at the Rockville, Maryland Children's National Imaging (CNI) site. The Division offers imaging services for a complete range of pediatric diseases and conditions.
Services provided at the main hospital include general radiography, fluoroscopy, special procedures (interventional), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, ultrasound, computerized axial tomography, bone densitometry, and magnetic resonance imaging.
Services provided at Children's National Imaging (Rockville, Maryland) include general radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computerized axial tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
What You'll Do:
The Radiology Resource Assistant (RRA) position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. It is recognized other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs. As a member of the Radiology Team and under the supervision and direction of a registered technologist, registered nurse and/or a radiologist, the Radiology Resource Assistant will assist in the delivery of patient care to pediatric radiology patients in a safe and organized manner.
The RRA will be responsible for assisting technologists, RNs, and radiologists before, during, and after radiology exams. The RRA transports patients (inpatient, outpatient and ED). The RRA coordinates patient flow, communicates with patients about status, schedule issues, and/or delays. The RRA answers phones and takes messages for technologists, RNs, and/or radiologists. In addition, the RRA helps providers requesting radiology imaging CD uploads into the PACS system. The RRA supports technologists in stocking rooms, cleaning, checking supplies for expiration, preparing patients for their radiology exam, and expediting the turnover of imaging rooms.

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
