As a Consulting Radiology Clinical Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, hands-on laboratory instruction to students in our 18-month program. You will guide students through the psychomotor and applied skills they need to master before demonstrating clinical competency. You will work under the direction of the Program Director and in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator. Your role will involve facilitating small-group laboratory sessions in Introduction to Patient Care and Introduction to Radiography. You will demonstrate and supervise energized and non-energized laboratory practice, reinforce radiation-safety and patient-care principles, and evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe, equitable, and well-supervised environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate small-group laboratory sessions in Introduction to Patient Care and Introduction to Radiography.
  • Demonstrate and supervise energized and non-energized laboratory practice.
  • Reinforce radiation-safety and patient-care principles.
  • Evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe, equitable, and well-supervised environment.
  • Manage a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment for small student groups.
  • Align laboratory activities with didactic content and program learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience / training).
  • Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography — R(R).
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) / state radiologic technology license.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field.
  • Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills.
  • Knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety principles, including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling.
  • Familiarity with JRCERT Standards applicable to laboratory instruction.
  • Skill in demonstrating psychomotor techniques and in evaluating students' skill acquisition with objective, documented criteria.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for small-group instruction, feedback, and student support.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management/clinical-tracking platforms.
