Job Title: MRI Technologist (MRI Tech)
Location: Richmond, VA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Start: 05/26/2026)
Shift: Mid Shift | 5x8 Hours (3:00 PM 11:00 PM)

Job Summary:

MRI Technologist responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures across a variety of patient populations, including adult and pediatric cases. Must be experienced in trauma settings and capable of handling complex imaging requirements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans including abdomen, pelvis, brain, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest imaging

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and start IVs as needed

  • Operate MRI equipment (Siemens) and manage imaging systems (PACS)

  • Conduct advanced imaging procedures such as MIP, MPR, perfusion, and diffusion imaging

  • Ensure patient safety, positioning, and image quality

  • Work across multiple settings including acute care, ER/trauma, outpatient, and pediatric units

  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for accurate diagnostics

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI Tech experience

  • Level 1 Trauma experience (Mandatory)

  • ARRT (R) Certification

  • BLS Certification

  • Experience with Epic (preferred)

  • Strong experience in MRI procedures across multiple body systems

Preferred Experience:

  • Teaching or community hospital experience

  • Adult ICU, ER/Trauma, and Pediatric Acute Care exposure

  • Advanced MRI techniques (perfusion, spectroscopy, angiography, post-processing)

  • Experience with IV starts and contrast administration

Additional Notes:

  • No travel experience required

  • Must be comfortable working in high-acuity environments

  • Exposure to NICU/PICU is a plus
