    Description

    SOS is looking for a full-time Radiology Assistant to join our team! You'll work alongside our experienced imaging professionals, helping deliver outstanding patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced orthopedic practice.

    Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with occasional early or late shifts as needed

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Works alongside the X-ray technologists to bring patients to X-ray rooms, prepare patients for exams, and guide patients throughout the clinic.
    • Creates orders in EMR to help the X-ray technologist prepare for the exam.
    • Greets customers in a polite, prompt, helpful manner and provides any necessary instruction or direction to them.
    • Assists in moving patients on and off exam tables, as well as being mobile for extended periods
    • Works inside the PACS system including importing studies, scanning documents, and burning CDs. Reviews provider schedules and proactively transfers imaging studies from outside facilities into the SOS PACS.
    • Assists with clerical duties not limited to but including checking in of imaging patients, scheduling patients for X-rays, MRIs, injections and arthrograms.
    • Answers the phone in pleasant manner, screens calls, takes messages and provides information for imaging patient needs.
    • Adheres to company protocols and procedures.
    • Other responsibilities as needed
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Hands on clinical experience preferred.
    • Prior desk and appointment experience, typing/computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Knowledge of and experience using an electronic medical records system is a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to express thoughts clearly to others at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent organizational skills along with ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines in stressful situations.
