    Title: Radiology Assistant

    Reports to: Radiology Manager

    Hours: Various Shifts (Mon - Friday 6:00AM-11:00PM; Sat 9:00AM-5:00PM)

    What you'll do:

    Our Radiology Aide is responsible for providing support to our Radiology Technicians (MRI & X-ray). The Aide prepares patients for Radiology examinations by greeting, screening, changing, completing and reviewing paperwork as well as assisting Radiology Tech with patient transfers, positioning and room cleanliness.

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Knowledge of MRI & X-ray safety protocols
    • Performs detailed pre-procedure patient screenings for MRI Safety
    • Protects patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
    • Preparing patients for radiology procedures - changed into gowns/shorts, shoes and jewelry removed
    • Understands provider's orders and requests
    • Brings patients to MRI/X-ray rooms and escorts patients back to changing rooms or exam rooms
    • Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs
    • Maintains required records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports
    • Assures a clean, stocked work area by maintaining MRI & X-ray rooms, and workstations.
    • Assist in maintaining an on-time patient schedule
    • Perform additional duties as assigned
    • Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
